In the Uk this Sunday night, Heartbeat got over 6 million viewers beating Top Gear and ALL other Sunday night programs.... this is without any promotion, advertising, magazine articles or interviews on chat shows. It also got 1 million more viewers than the new Series of Taggart and 2.5 million more than the Johnny Depp film, Pirates of the Carribbean....ITV YOU ARE IDIOTS!!!!

A message from Heartbeat's Derek Fowlds... "Hi Trent, it would be a great shame to terminate your Heartbeat Memorabilia page. So many thousand of people signed petitions to keep the show on air but sadly the so called powers that be, had other ideas. If the show had been re- commisioned, Oscar Blaketon would have survived. We had an amazing 18 years and it will never be forgotten. Good wishes to all you fans Down Under. I hope to return to OZ one day... Derek Fowlds".

It's OFFICIAL, ITV this week, announced that after 18 Series, Heartbeat will be no more... it has been officially 'axed'. The last series starts in the Uk this July! Such a shame!!
